The Process
For branding and websites, my design process is a step-by-step journey from concept to a solution that improves your company’s online presence.
1. Get in touch
Reach out using the contact form. We will schedule a visit to talk about your project (brand identity, website, other online marketing, merchandise, or any combination) and the approach we will take to achieve the best outcome in your budget.
I will create and send a proposal/contract.
A 50% deposit will be required to move forward.
2. Pre-work/Research
Questionnaire: Depending on the scope of the project, I sometimes send an online questionnaire to get some of your (or your team’s) thoughts on the project.
Next, (again, depending on the depth of the project) we meet in person or online to go into more detail about the company background, goals, audience and competitors. We’ll discuss who your brand needs to appeal to and what makes the brand special.
I will review the questionnaire, our conversation, and research your competitors to develop a design brief. You have the opportunity to sign-off on the brief. This summary will guide me in the design process.
3. Design
I create what the identity/branding, website, online presence, and/or what the project is while using the brief as a guide.
4. Edit and revise if necessary
We meet to review the project and I make revisions if needed.
5. Deliverables
Once our contract is met, the brief is followed, and we are satisfied with the project, the remaining payment is made and then…
- Completed Branding/Identity files are delivered in JPGs, PNGs, and a PDF guideline sheet and/or
- The Website goes live and
- any other agreed upon deliverables in the package are satisfied.
The Timeline
Branding/Identity: 2-4 weeks
Website: 3-5 weeks
Alternative online strategies: 1 week
Designs for merchandise: 2-5 days
