What is branding?
Visually speaking, its elements of shape, color, and type working together to convey a specific and distinct look and feel. It includes visual elements like logos, color palettes, typography, and brand guidelines, ensuring consistent messaging and imagery across all platforms. A branding package helps businesses create a memorable and recognizable image, differentiating them from competitors.
What is a favicon?
Short for “favorite icon,” it is a small image associated with a website that is displayed in various places, including browser tabs, bookmarks, and search results. It helps users quickly identify and distinguish your website from others. Look at the tab for this page. You should see “RAE”.
What is a submark?
It’s a simplified version of a brand’s main logo, used when the primary logo is too complex or large for smaller spaces or applications. It retains key elements of the original logo but is designed to be easily scaled down and used in contexts like social media profiles, website icons, or watermarks.

We meet and I will ask you questions (you can take an online questionnaire in advance too) so I get to know your business and can develop a cohesive visual identity that reflects it’s energy and mission. You probably have ideas too. I want to hear them! After my design process, we meet again. I present you with your new logo, submark, typeface, and color scheme. We may decide to edit and revise. When full payment is received, you receive the specific guidelines and image files to use in all your marketing. Let me know if you’re in need of a website (or updating an existing one)!

THE STORY
Energy Healer, Rowan River, used his name for his business. A distinguished, down-to-earth, well-balanced person and businessman. The colors used in his branding are earthy and even in tone. No shocking colors, but instead serene and peaceful like his voice. The reflective and balanced use of his initials in the logo and submark were very intentional as he incorporated the principles of balance and reflection when aiming to restore equilibrium in the body’s energy system and promoting self-awareness. The obvious idea of having a river run through the logo was considered, but ultimately the stability of that vertical line was chosen for his unwavering dedication and passion to his work.

THE THOUGHT PROCESS
Notice the difference in the energy from the VALUE example and this branding. We went from calm to feisty! Garlic is known for it’s strong, spicy flavor. The slogan has “warm” in it, so warm red and yellow/orange were featured. The addition of purple was to represent the actual bit of purple that appears in the German hardneck garlic, but also because it is a cooler/cold color to represent “ice” in the brand ICE HOUSE. The garlic art is drawn with abstract free-flowing strokes in a simple yet fun way, incorporating two green shades to represent verdant growth with added depth from a splash of that purple. Brighter and strong tones for this brand creates an exciting vibe to make this organization stand out.
This pro bono branding was designed in 2010 and not fully used by the non-profit grower. Bummer, huh?
The PREMIUM package has everything the PLUS package does with the addition of grayscale, black, and white. This is important for several reasons.
- Sometimes it is expensive to print or embroider in many colors so choosing black (or any one solid color) to go on a light color (or light on a dark color) is more efficient,
- Grayscale or black & white is used for ads in black & white newspapers, and
- If you have to use your logo on a colorful background, the colors of your logo may not look harmonious.
